Very rare lacquer box with geometrical pattern and convex shaped lid and bottom. The lacquer is quite thick on this piece with unusual motif. Lovely Iban woman’s skirt from near Kapit, circa 1950s, with bangkit fruit pattern, signifying fruitful abundance. Apart from the inevitable few pin holes and a couple of very minor frays on the edge, this piece is in excellent condition.
