Good Ming celadon bowl from the Longquan kiln. This has three old compression cracks and one small glaze chip noted in enlargements. I bought this because of shape; I quite liked the way the mouth narrows a bit. This piece is less truncated in real life than the photos might indicate. D: 12.5cm/4.7in and H: 7.2cm/2.89in.

Good Yuan Dynasty shallow saucer with impressed lotus and incised lotus leaf pattern on outside. There is a hairline crack on this piece. It is very thinly potted for a Yuan piece and aside from the hairline is in excellent condition. D: 15.4cm/6.1in and H: 3.2cm/1.2in

Fine and rare Ming Dynasty, emulating white Jade, belt fastener made of glass. There are a few tiny chips but they are too small to photograph. Glass artifacts in good condition are more difficult to find than Jade given its fragility. In the center there is a “Shou”-Chinese longevity character, surrounded by cloud scrolls and a meander pattern on the perimeter. L: 6cm/2.3in and W: 4.6cm/1.8in. Quirky ensemble of small Buddhas heads from Burma. I acquired these in Mae Sai about 15/20 years ago, along the Thai/Burmese border. The story I was told was that these were found during road building project near Pegu (Bago), which have I no reason to disbelieve. These may possibly be Mon but I am not sure, materially and stylistically they are dissimilar to one another...

Lovely antique suanzhi wood planing tool. I bought this because of the anthropomorphic shape in the center which looks vaguely like a Zhu Ming or Han Dynasty tomb figure. Circa 50 to 80 years old, this is a nice “stand alone” art piece or can be repurposed for antique Chinese furniture repair. There are a couple of checks in the wood as can be seen in enlargements. L: 19cm/7.5in, W: 6.5cm/2.7in and 4cm/1.5 at its thickest point.

Quirky and eclectic collection of 35 small repousse copper plaques or tokens. These were collected in Dali, Yunnan, China in the late 1980s. No two are exactly alike and seem to be influenced by Tantric Buddhism in that the endless knot, parasol, lotus throne, and temple banner motifs are represented in this lot as well as more traditional Chinese symbols such as bats and butterflies. In the last image I have shown a Qilin the only image in this group that has a hallmark...

Large pale green glazed plate with incised decoration, most likely from the Thantwe kiln near present day Rangoon, Burma. Excavated from the Tak Burial site near, Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. This can be reliable dated to least 14th/16th centuries due to other known and datable ceramics from China and Thailand that were found in the same strata...

Fine strand of quartz crystal beads (and a few carnelians) excavated from the Tak Burial site near. Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. Exceptionally rare small storage jar with typical Burmese style floral scrolls under a green tin based glaze. Probably originally from the Mon, Pegu (Bago) kiln. The inside of the jar is glazed in a cream colored glaze and presumably the decoration is done in the same glaze under the green. H: 28cm/11in and D: 22cm/8.6in. There is some wear on the on the shoulder and rim with one chip on he mouthrim.

Good bronze bowl from the Khmer culture circa 11th/12th CE. There is one possible repair on the side (noted in enlargements) as the surface seems softer than the rest of the piece- but I could be wrong. Typical Khmer patina and pitting as to be expected from old bronze. D: 16cm/6.2in and H: 9cm/3.5in.

Rare 4.9cm/1.9in Thai stoneware bowl from the Sankampaeng kiln circa 15th/16th CE with two fish in the center and scalloped cavetto, there is well done repaired chip on the inner rim noted in enlargements. This is a classic and definitive piece for the Sankampaeng kiln as the incised/impressed fish motif is only found on ceramics from this Thai kiln. There are some blue flambé highlights in the center, probably accidental but quite attractive. D: 21.5cm/8.2in and H:

Beautiful circa 1880 area rug from the Shirwan area in the Caucasus. This has been restored, repaired, reselvedged and head ends stabilized over the years, so examine the enlargements closely. To get this kind of repair now would cost a lot more than what I am asking it. The drawing is still quite clear and sharp with a very charming design. All natural dyes- 149cm/58.5in x 107cm/42in.

Very rare man’s ceremonial tunic from the Chin ethnic group, probably Falam Township, Chin State Myanmar. I would consider this an antique heirloom blanket between 1910-1940 finely woven from hand spun cotton thread and natural dyes. This incorporates the classic Chin diamond twill weft pattern as well as double side embroidery...
