Exceptionally fine early 20th century antique ikat sarong from the tiny island of Savu, Indonesia. The weave is a bit course indicating this was made from local native cotton, rather than handspun imported material. This piece is in perfect condition with 6 narrow patterned bands of floating weft. All dyes are organic also note in last enlargement that the narrow blue and white bands are ikat dyed in groupings of only four strands...

Rare ikat blanket from Sumba, Indonesia, although weavings from this island are quite popular collectibles it is very uncommon to find genuine antiques from this group. I traveled there in 1988 and did not see anything that I would qualify as antique. This piece is pre 1920 possibly late 19th century and was acquired from an old Dutch collection and is woven with all handspun threads and natural dyes...

One of kind Cizhou type stoneware vase from a Northern Kiln circa 11th/12th CE, with amber brown glaze and large greenish splash running down the side. Conventional wisdom would suggest that this should be Jin Dynasty but the unusual glaze and the way the bottom sharply narrows at the base is atypical, so Xi Xia is a best guess on my part however the dating is guaranteed. Excellent original condition- H: 19.2cm/7.5in and D: 12cm/4.8in.

Very rare Arakanese Jambupati (royal attire) circa 16th/17th CE, some of the tines on crown have broken off and the bas is a bit compressed from being buried. This was heavily encrusted when I first acquired it and I done my best to clean it uo with destroying the integrity of the piece. I got this from a French collector and Buddhist Art specialist in 2008. H: 18.8cm/7.5in and W: 12cm/4.8in.

Good Yuan Dynasty shallow saucer with impressed lotus and incised lotus leaf pattern on outside. There is a hairline crack on this piece, I had it professionally cleaned so you can no longer see it but makes its presence known in that it does not have a bell like tone when tapped. It is very thinly potted for a Yuan piece and aside from the hairline is in excellent condition. D: 15.4cm/6.1in and H: 3.2cm/1.2in

Rare antique silk Cambodian ikat lower garment. H: 90cm/35.5in L: 2.1m/7ft10in. with a twill weave; unique among Southeast Asian textiles. This skill died out during the reign of the Khmer Rouge and has not yet recovered the skills and technique to make a textile of this quality. The size of this piece indicates it would have been worn by an upper class family much like a pantaloon with center being passed through the legs and tucked into the waist...

Han Dynasty lead green glazed out house toilet. I imagine even in the afterlife you’ll still need one of these. An excellent example of vernacular architecture, this was part of a larger barnyard ensemble which would have consisted of a walled compound with a pig or two. In excellent condition, no damage other than where it was broken off the compound wall...
