Interesting set of six amber glass beads. These came out of Cambodia but are of Chinese manufacture and would date circa Song to Yuan (1000-1400CE) which coincides to the Khmer Empire when there was a lot of trade was carried on between these two kingdoms. I have two references for this kind of bead referring to them as to either Liao or Ming...

Good long rectangular aventurine bangle from early central Thai Bronze Age Lopburi Culture circa 500 BC. There is some damage on one end, well documented in enlargements. Aventurine is commonly mistaken for Jade as it has the same degree of hardness (6.5 Mohs scale rating)...

Fine and rare Ming Dynasty, emulating white Jade, belt fastener made of glass. There are a few tiny chips but they are too small to photograph. Glass artifacts in good condition are more difficult to find than Jade given its fragility. In the center there is a “Shou”-Chinese longevity character, surrounded by cloud scrolls and a meander pattern on the perimeter. L: 6cm/2.3in and W: 4.6cm/1.8in. See last enlargements for reference from Simon Kwan’s: Early Chinese Glass, pgs...

Exceptionally rare classic “pea green” celadon glazed vase from the early Qing Yongzheng/Qianlong. The “brown wash” inside the footrim is typical of Qianlong and guaranteed to be of this period or earlier. The mouthrim of the vase has been lined with copper, this is a very old style of restoration no longer done today and probably dates to the late Qing- please see enlargements...

Rare strand of hexagonally faceted round beads from China. These have very large holes usually indicative of ancient workmanship. These were represented to me as Warring States, which is consistent about red agate and carnelian that have a long history of use in China particularly from the Warring States to Han Dynasty, where some really exquisite pieces were made...

Exceptionally fine and rare proto celadon handled Ding, circa Western Han Dynasty (206BCE - 08CE). This piece has been in my possession for over twenty years, the only other ceramic I have seen in this glaze and clay was exhibited in the Beijing Place Museum in the early 1990s. There is one minor glaze chip noted in last enlargement, otherwise perfect condition and the glaze is stable. D: 16.5cm/6.5in and H: 10.cm/4.1in and L: (w/handle) 22cm/8.6in.

Fine and rare high fired grey stoneware jar with impressed linen pattern and traces of “proto celadon” glaze. This was possibly caused by bits of ash melting and fusing on the surface, as it’s only found on the shoulder and the inside bottom. There are some surface cracks but nothing going all the way through and minor chips on the edge of mouthrim, given its age circa early Warring States (475-221BCE); it is remarkably well preserved with no restoration...

Rare Yuan Dynasty four combed handled bottle with calligraphy, brown and white glazes, dipped in a white slip on upper half. This is a classic and well documented piece. There is fritting, cracalature, a minor hairline on mouthrim and chip on side and footrim (please examine enlargements), entirely consistent with period and materials. As is typical of Yuan ceramics what this piece lacks in the elegance of the Song Dynasty is compensated by its confidence and pragmatic purpose...

Southern Song vase with Jizhou glaze and impressed floral and lotus patterns, an interesting piece in that this style is usually found in Qingbai ware. Good Jizhou glazed jar from the Jingdezhen kiln with lid circa Southern Song Dynasty. Please note that the lid and body are slightly different as the lid’s glaze lacks the cracalature of the body with more of “tea dust” type glaze. Possibly from the same kiln- “matched but not married”. Having said this they look good together and unless closely scrutinized its hard to notice...
