Exceptionally rare Qiang spear blade from the Han Dynasty. This bronze would have belonged to a high ranking officer as the gold on the surface would have been beyond the wages paid to your average soldier. Most pieces from this era were of the socketed variety where the wood was inserted in into a sleeve at the bottom, but this one was inset into the wood. The edge is beveled and honed to being near razor sharp. L: 27.2cm/10.8in and W: 3cm/1.2in (mid point)...

The front reads “To Admiral Sir David Luce with best wishes from Admiral (signed) Chammarnand Layndvla, Bangkok, 5, January 1962”. Good old Northern Thai sword (dha). This piece has rattan bindings with a silver pommel. The scabbard and blade match but are not original as the blade is about 10cm shorter than meant for the sword. L: 70cm/27.5in and the blade is 37cm/14.5in. The blade is sharp but a bit rusty. Originally there was circa 1920’s Rama the 8th coin stuck in the pommel, I have found another 1930s coin as a replacement which you can glue in if you want.

Complete set of five Shan Buddhist images comprised of a Buddha three monks and a chedi. These are covered with traditional gold and back lacquer and the bodies are made from compressed powdered herbs or temple incense ash. These have a quirky abstract quality to them, their facelessness represents that the individual is inconsequential but has the potential for becoming a Buddha, on the bottom are the eight Burmese zodiac symbols based on the days of the week...

Be the first kid on your block to own a 1985 original film poster of the Thai movie~ Magic Lizard (King-ka Kayasit). Directed by Sampote Sands and starring some guy in a Frilled Lizard rubber suit. Having perused a couple of blogs (email me if you want the links), it seems that Sampote Sands did for Thai Cinema what Ed Woods did for Hollywood. No tears or pinholes (a couple of smudges on the edge). 78cm/30.8in x 55cm/21.8in. Your inner child demands that you buy this poster!
