Very rare and eclectic Lao copper wedding token in the shape of a lat, also referred to as a tiger tongue coin. This was the form of money used in the Kingdom of Lanchang/Lanxang in what is now Laos and Northeast Thailand, late 16th to early 18th century. This piece was collected in Huay Xai, in northern Laos along the Thai border.
