Beautiful baby carrier panel from one of the Miao (a.k.a. Hmong) minorities from Southwest China. I bought this in a market in Yangshuo, Guangxi Zhuang, China over 20 years ago and it never appears to have been used and as such is in pristine condition. For the exception of the striped side borders this all hand silk embroidered with a stunning butterfly and bird pattern against a hand woven black cotton background.
