Unique animal collar woven from Yak’s tail wool with endless not, Buddhist swastika and Chinese “wang” character. As Yak’s wool is virtually indestructible it is difficult to date with any certainty but suffice to say this is probably 30 or 40 years old. Except for the red bands along the edge it is woven from undyed wool, possibly from the Wangden region in Tibet. L: L: 71cm/28in and W: 7.5cm/3.in.

Elegant Jadeite “Bi” shaped pendant with excellent apple green highlights in the stone. This is an old carving that has been repolished, it should be noted that Burmese jade is usually dyed to enhance the green color which after a few years will fade and sometimes turn a brown color. This piece is over 50 years old so this is the original color which will not change over the passage of time. Free shipping via Hong Kong registered airmail include in purchase price...

Very fine ikat and embroidered patterned men’s sarong from Timor Island. The weaving is in three panels on this piece and is exceptionally fine and supple. In excellent condition with a few minor frays on the selvedge only and a few small ink stains. Unusual nephrite jade incense burner with human face acquired from an American estate and dates circa mid 20th century. This piece has an Art Deco (IMHO) feel about it but is actually emulating a very famous Shang Dynasty “fanding” (cauldron) that was excavated in Henan in 1959 and is currently in the Capital Museum Beijing. Quite a bit of jade went into carving this piece, at 1100 grams and is in good condition. At highest point: 11.3cm/4.4on and W: 6.7cm/2.8in.
