Very rare woman’s skirt from the little known Xtieng/Strieng, a Mon Khmer speaking ethnic group in Vietnam who live along the Laos border. It is in excellent condition for an older tribal textile approximately 40 years, there is some minor selvedge repair and a just bit little of fraying at the corners, which is entirely acceptable for an old textile from the tropics. Dimensions: 112cm/44in length and 51cm/21.5in width...

Fine Naga cotton “loramhousou” blanket from the Angami group of the Naga people in India. This piece is very unusual in that it has been vegetable dyed a light brown tan color (all others I have seen from this group are white), also the size is quite large for such a piece (1.92m/6’4”ft length and 1.8m/3.5ft width). In excellent condition with no rips or fraying. The patterns are woven in with silk. Approximately 40 years old.
