Fine and rare off white nephrite jade “curtain weight”. The Tang attribution is very conservative as this shape of jade has been recorded back as far as the Warring States Period (475BCE- 221BCE). Since there is no carving on it I have given it a later dating. This piece is very evenly cut at sharp angles and is polished on all sides. The condition is quite good with only a few tiny calcified “flea bites” in the stone. It has a holed drilled through the center and may be worn as a pe ...click for details

~Sold to China, xie xie ni!~ $80.USD

Quirky pendant with two holes most like used as a fastener. I don’t know what the stone is, it is not jade or agate (a little too soft). Probably quite ancient but I will guarantee it to be over100 years old. There is a Chinese character on the bottom but so far it has been undecipherable. L: 4cm/1.5in and W: 3cm/1.2in

~Sold to the U.S., thanks a bunch!~ $400.USD

Superb circa 6th CE long tapered tube shaped Pre Khmer banded agate bead, I acquired this about 13 years ago in Thailand; at that time I was told it came out of Cambodia. Recently I came across a photo reference for this type of bead- Khmer Gold: Gifts for the Gods: Emma Bunker and Douglas Lateford, which identifies this as pre 6th century which would make it either Chenla or Funan Kingdoms, and excavated in Banteay Meanchy Province, Cambodia, which backs up the original provenance. Good Dong Son culture bronze bell with bull’s face motif circa 200BCE - 200CE. A bit crusty but no restoration, the lugs on the side have long broken off. The little "clapper" ball is still there and will rattle if you give it a shake. Nice size as these are either much larger or smaller. D: 4cm/1.6in.

Strand of twenty white glass beads collected in Yunnan, China in the late 1980s. Average diameter is 1.2cm and length of strand is 12.5cm. These have unusually large holes which is typical of pre Qing Dynasty glass beads. Overall in good condition- three have cracks.

Classic molded stucco head of a circa 12h–13th century Thai Buddha head from the last independent Mon kingdom of Haripunchai in Thailand (what is now Lamphun). $1000.USD

Extremely rare Western Xia Kingdom, 1038 CE -1227 CE, jar with simple russet floral pattern and typical Xixia “tea dust” matte glaze with unglazed “bow string” bands on the circumference. From a historical perspective the Tanguts who founded the Xixia Kingdom have always posed a bit of a mystery since their civilization was leveled to the ground by Genghis Khan for a series of perceived betrayals on their part towards the Mongols, who were particularly unforgiving about this sort of ...click for details

Good small mottled gray nephrite perforated disc, circa Tang Dynasty or earlier. D: 2.4cm/.9in and thickness: 8mm/.22in. Lovely stone- please examine close ups where I have highlighted “tell tale” carving lines with red arrows of a genuine ancient piece. This was probably part of a series of center leftover cuts from a much larger Bi.
