| Rare Chinese Yellow Rosewood Ming bowl D: 18.4cm/7.2in and H: 5.3cm/2.1in (carved from a single piece). As is, given that authentic Ming furniture sells in the millions of dollars range this is a pretty good deal. The broad foot and wide “Bi” shaped footrim was a common feature of Ming porcelain which is reflected in this piece. Other than applying neutral colored wood oil to the surface I have undertaken no other restoration or conservation, anything more would destroy the integrity of the piece. Personally I like it as an objet d'art. | ||||||||||
