description: 15th to 17th century Burmese Buddha (probably from Arakan). Seated on a short oval shaped base indicative of the period. This Buddha is layered with traditional black and gold lacquer in the Burmese style. The bottom is worn smooth and the bronze in the interior of the base has patina consistent with an old item Condition excellent. Dimensions: 9.5cm/3.6in.
