price: ~Sold to Denmark~ $900.USD/$6900.HKD
description: Fine small Bronze Lion from the Sui, possibly early Tang Dynasty. Due to the excellent black patina and polished wear this sculpture was most likely an heirloom piece from a private collection and is not from an excavation. Condition: two legs have broke clean and reattached and there may have a longer tail at one time which long ago has broken off and worn smooth at the breakage points. It was used in a Buddhist altar ensemble, either has an incense holder or a base for a Buddhist icon. Dimensions: 6cm/2.4in height (head to toe) and 4.9cm/1.9in torso length.
