description: Yueyao Powder box from the Five Dynasties Period. Extremely rare Yue glazed box in good condition and glaze. There is a minor repair on the inside lip of the bottom half noted in photo. 10cm/3.9in diameter, 3.8cm/1.5in height, 5.8cm/2.3in diameter at inset footrim. An identical piece (#186) is catalogued in the book, Zhejiang Chronological Porcelain, and is given the date 939 AD.
