description: Han Jade. Section of sword belt hook, this piece is missing the both ends of the original piece and only the belt loop remains. Most likely originally depicting a dragon and another mythical beast what is left of the pattern gives it a wonderful contemporary abstract look. One would assume that this piece was originally found broken and the fractured edges were re-cut and smoothed to make it more pleasing to the eye. This restoration appears to be at least a couple of centuries old and indicates it has been part of a private collection for quite some time. This piece makes a lovely pendant as well as an excellent addition to the collection of a Jade connoisseur. Condition: as described. Dimensions: 4.1cm/1.6in length x 2.8cm/1.1in width x 1.2cm/o.6in thick
