Fine and rare Lao Buddha on hexagonal base. Lao Buddhist iconography has always been influenced by it’s neighbors sometimes making difficult to distinguish it from Lanna and later Thai art but this piece is classic Lao in having the wide round ears and long narrow lobes below as well as the “bell” shaped base. The tip of the finial above the unisha has some small casting damage, other than that in perfect condition. H: 21cm/8.2in and base is 10.6cm/4.2in x 8.9cm/3.5in.
