| Good black glazed Cizhou type stoneware box. Lots of brown highlights with nice shiny glaze. Although the general shape has been around since the Tang Dynasty, most written materials on this sort of ware stop at the Yuan Dynasty, so I would put this piece as either Ming or Qing. Very pretty item in decent condition, there is a shallow glaze chip on the edge of the lip, noted in enlargements. H: 7.2cm/2.8in and D: 9.5cm | |||||||||
