| Fine and rare Buddhist ovoid clay tablet, tentatively dated and attributed to Mon Culture circa 10th CE -12 CE (please see last two enlargements for photo and full written reference, from Ancient Buddhist Art from Burma – Taisai Gallery catalogue). This piece originated in Burma but is set in Thai contemporary matrials but traditional amulet style inside a high content silver and plastic and may be worn around the neck on a beaded chain. These are worn for good luck and protection. H: 6.5cm/2.6in and W: 4.7cm/1.9in. | ||||||||
