Fine and rare off white nephrite jade “curtain weight”. The Tang attribution is very conservative as this shape of jade has been recorded back as far as the Warring States Period (475BCE- 221BCE). Since there is no carving on it I have given it a later dating. This piece is very evenly cut at sharp angles and is polished on all sides. The condition is quite good with only a few tiny calcified “flea bites” in the stone. It has a holed drilled through the center and may be worn as a pendant. Width: 3.2cm, Height: 2.6cm and Thickness: 6mm.
