Song Qingbai bowl
stock number: 1918
price: ~Sold to Sweden,Tackar så mycket!~ $600.USD/$4600.USD
description:
Superb early Southern Song, small conical bowl with incised abstract floral designs. Very thinly potted from rim to foot (please last enlargement), and classic aquamarine colored Hutian glaze- this piece epitomizes the elegant simplicity and skill of the Song Jingdezhen potters. There were a couple of “rice” sized chips on the rim, so a sterling silver rim has been added (personally I would not polish this silver rim and allow it to acquire a nice dark colored patina over time). D: 12.3cm/4.8in and H: 4cm/1.6in
