description: Abhaya is very pleased to offer this excellent late 18th century Tibetan Gilded Mahakala. In unusually good condition with no damage except for minor crease behind base, at rim. Very finely crafted it has superior workmanship throughout. The base plate I believe to be original, it appears to be reconsecrated as the “cold gold” and other facial pigments are recent. Priced well below market value this piece of Tantric Art would make an exceptional acquisition for the serious collector. Dimensions 11.9cm height (including base), perfectly balanced the Mahakala is 10.1cm at height x 10.1 cm outstretched arms length. The base is 4.2cm x 9.1cm. Sourced in Hongkong this year.
