Fine and rare jade ornament carved into the shape of a horse. This was made to be sewn onto a garment or harness. The Ming dating is conservative as it has a simple and pragmatic style, so quite possibly this is Jin or Yuan. There are a few tiny worn chips on the back of the hind quarters other than that; excellent condition. May be worn as a pendant or mounted as a silver (or gold) pin. L: 5cm/2in and H: 3.2cm/1.2in.
