Lovely Southern Song black bowl from Fujian with hare’s fur glaze and even an oil spot (noted in enlargements)! This is presumably a kiln discard but is not cracked or chipped, it has a couple of blobs of glaze that stuck to the rim where some attempt has been made to grind them down and as well as being a bit “warped”, but no actual damage. This would make an excellent study piece as it contains many variations of the Jian glaze on one piece. Should clean up nicely with a bit of effort. D: 11cm/4.2in and H: 4.8cm/1.8in.
