One of kind, single supplementary weft embroidered panel, L: 4.63m/14.2ft and W: 36.5cm/13.8in, from the Tujia ethnic group in Guizhou, Southwest China. Its function is a bit of mystery so it being a sling wrap around baby carrier is my best guess. Originally I thought it might be a traditional wedding blanket that would be cut and sewn with three panels together but there is no border pattern woven into this piece as is typical...

Early 20th century fragment of large Inner Mongolian rug with repetitive floral pattern on a grid. A very stunning piece, at least to me, I think it looks nicer without its original border. The double selvedge indicates the edges were done locally, in Baotou rather then somewhere else. Some brown discoloration in a couple of places, but no holes or other damage. L: 1.93m/6.3in and W: 67cm/26.5in.
