Celadon bowl from the Longquan kiln Zhejiang . This has a lovey original glossy glaze with subtle incised lotus leaf pattern on the outside and abstract foliate scrolls in the cavetto. There is one fine hairline noted in enlargements and some darker sections in the glaze due to uneven heat distribution in the kiln during the firing process. D: 16.9cm/6.7in and H: 7.5cm/2.9in.

Ensemble of shards of classic Song Dynasty stoneware Guan yao and Ding yao pieces. The Ding is particularly nice with intact foot rim and lovely remnants of impressions. I’ve thrown in one Jun shard although I am not a 100% sure on this one- the lipped rim anomalous. Scale is noted in cm in last enlargements. Ideal for the serious collector or student. Quirky shallow bowls enclosed in pewter. The original blank dishes were imported from Japan and then decorated in Hong Kong. By the 1980s this trade died out due to rising property costs as well as the transitioning of the Hong Kong manufacturing sector to China. This pair is in excellent condition and perfectly matched with floral panels and medallions. These are also the only examples I have seen jacketed in pewter. D: 17cm/6.9in and H: 4cm/1.6in. Dated to 1970’s.

Exceptionally rare (only one I've ever seen) Ming "net pattern" bowl from the Dehua Kiln, Fujian. The cavetto is unglazed with an incised, crosshatched surface used for the grinding of tea. There is one small, firing crack, shown in last enlargement- this occurred during production. Please note that glaze fused together at the top of split, this goes through to the other side. Simple, fitted stand included. D: 13.2cm/5.2in and H: 6cm/2.4in.
