Rare net repairing tool from the Vietnamese Nùng ethnic minority, who are closely related to the Zhuang people in Southwest China. This is carved from buffalo horn and still has a length of handspun plant fiber cord. This difficult to date as I can find no references on this particular item, suffice to say it predates the use of cheaper and easier to obtain plastic versions, so a conservative dating of about 40 years will do.
