Lovely Iban woman’s skirt from near Kapit, circa 1950s, with bangkit fruit pattern, signifying fruitful abundance. Apart from the inevitable few pin holes and a couple of very minor frays on the edge, this piece is in excellent condition. The red and yellow side borders are made from commercial thread while the center is all handspun thread with natural colored indigo and vegetable dye. L: 102cm/40in and W: 52cm/20.5in.

Very rare three paneled Tujia blanket from Guizhou, China circa 50 to 70 years old (possibly older). Made with all handspun cotton threads (the green and yellow appear to be natural dyes).The upper and lower borders that are a commercial cloth.. It is the only Tujia blanket, I have ever seen with a black field. Excellent condition, H: 117cm/46in and W: 113cm/44.5in (total length with border 193cm/76in).

Fine two paneled blanket from the Dai people of the Dehong, Xishuangbanna region of Yunnan Province Southwest China. The Dai people are part of the large Tai group living in Laos and Thailand and speak a mutually intelligible language, however this style of weaving and pattern are unique only in China.
