A charming painting of a grasshopper painted in the style of Qi Baishi齊白石. This is signed Qi Huang which was his real name, Qi Baishi was his “pen name”. Framed with with Perspex so it can be mailed. Painting is in good condition but the Pespex has a scratch on it. H: 23cm/9in and W: 16cm/6.2cm. Framed H: 46cm/18in and W: 36cm/14in.

Qing Dynasty painting on silk, of Dongyue Dadi, The Great Emperor of the Sacred Mountain of the East .He is the God of the Taoist holy mountain, Tai Shan, considered one of the 5 sacred peaks of China. There is large temple in Beijing dedicated to him. There is “foxing” on the mounting and tattered at the bottom but the painting itself is in good condition. H: 51cm/20in and W: 25.5cm/9.6in (mounted dimensions H: 75cm/20.5in and W: 40cm/15.8in).

Large Taoist painting depicting deities. This piece is dated 29th year of the Emperor Daoguang- 1849. The dedication reads it is was gifted by a Li Qinfeng to what I assume was a temple. This has been restored and remounted, quite a difficult process, the last time inquired locally the cost of doing this, I was quoted $900. and this was 15 years ago.
