Three rare quartzite beads, carved in the shape of elephants. These were acquired in Burma about 40 years ago by Bucklee Bell contributor to the Peter Francis Bead Project dating circa 900CE or earlier. Please note scale is metric in last enlargement. Free shipping.

Unusual, late Ayutthaya or Early Rattanakosin Period Thailand Buddha head. The bronze has been cast with quite light bronze and the ears are made from copper strips and lacquered over. The face is quite atypical with Chinese characterisics, possibly a regional style. Please examine enlargements for condition. H: 22cm/8.7in (with stand 31cm).

Very fine circa 1300-1400CE, Cizhou type lugged jar with thick iron brown and black glaze. Very beautiful piece in excellent condition (some original kiln flaws tiny frits , bubble burst etc). H: 10.8cm/4.2in and D: 14cm/5.5in.

Rare Tang Dynasty glazed saucer from the Gongxian kiln Henan, China. This has bell like tone when tapped. There is a repaired chip on the rim (noted in enlargements) tiny fritting on glaze. D: 13.2cm/5.4in and H: 2.3cm/0.7in. Looks like the moon.

Hardwood vintage sculpture of an African ancestor image, from the Songye ethnic group, Democratic Republic of the Congo. Old piece, circa 1960s or 1970s a couple of cracks and repairs.. H: 45 cm/17.8in.

Delightful Qing Dynasty café au lait glazed water dropper in the shape of a fish in a basket, it is quite heavy for its size and the brown glaze has a strong metallic patina possibly emulating bronze. Most likely from a Southern Kiln, in perfect condtion! D: 5.7cm/2.2in and H: 7.2cm/2.8in.

Beautiful women’s apron style skirt from the Bahnar (Ba Na) ethnic group, Central Highlands of Vietnam. Woven from fine handspun cotton using all indigo and natural dyes. The weaving is very intricate and refined, note the use of narrow warp ikat bands throughout this piece. This piece is has small tear at the corner (see last enlargement) and a couple of frays but otherwise excellent condition and dates to 1960 to 1970...

Free Shipping: Fine and rare Longquan classic celadon bottle with an unusual shape- like a truncated meiping. The depth of the glaze achieves the ideal “jade like” quality that is much sought after by celadon collectors. The Ming attribution is conservative based on the inward beveling on the footrim and reddish slip visible on the glazed edge, but Yuan or Song cannot be completely ruled out...

Gray pottery censor on a stemmed saucer with pierced cover in the shape of a mountain, Western Han Dynasty- (202 BC – 9 AD). Excellent condition- no chips, cracks etc. H: 26cm/10in and base D: 19.5cm/7.8in.

Rare and unusual 3 paneled piled blanket from the Rawang ethnic group, Kachin State, Burma. The ground is woven from hemp, the reddish head ends are dog hair .There are a few areas that have a bright colored commercial yarn but other than that, all natural dyes. In the red field there are some bits of missing weft noted in enlargements. This piece is circa 1950 (+/-), definitely old an old piece...

Collection of Thai Bronze Age aventurine jewelry pieces, from the Lopburi Culture, circa 500BCE, Central Thailand. 1#: Long rectangular bead, good transparency, damaged on one end and the lengthwise hole only goes from the undamaged end to the second hole. Ming Dynasty nephrite jade button carved in the shape of chrysanthemum (see enlargement for reference), this was meant to be sewn on to hat or clothing as a brooch, D: 4cm and 7mm thick 28 grams, a few “ant bite” sized tiny chips, but otherwise good condition. Included are two “bi” (perforated discs)...

Fine and unusual gray pottery jar with a band of animals circling the upper part. The animals are carved in exceptional detail. This piece is in perfect condition and the potting is particularly refined for an artifact from this era. The surface has a fast water absorption rate and classic petrichor odor associated with ancient pottery. H: 16cm/6.2in and D: 18.5cm/7.2in.

A pair of circa 20th century, good Indonesian keris knives. Both blades are hand forged iron with very sharp edges and tropical wood handles and hilt cups. The sheaths are copper alloy with intricate patterns. The blade with the gold dragon motif is referred to as the Nogo style and is quite thin, and the second one has a beautiful “pamor”- the striations are called “blarak sineret” style- like someone dragged a palm leaf across the surface...

Good Cizhou type black glazed bowl with russet highlights throughout, circa Jin Dynasty circa 1115-1234CE. Excellent condition- no chips or cracks- typical iron oxide paraffin patina. D: 16cm/6.3in and H: 7cm/2.8in. Please note a very similar piece sold at Christie’s July/24/2020 from the FROM THE LINYUSHANREN COLLECTION lot# 57. for $9,375.USD.

Late Qing Dynasty “minyao” (household ware) porcelain bowl with a lovely light green celadon glaze and subtle russet treatment to the rim. Very good condition i.e., no cracks or chips. The shopmark inside the footrim is in seal script and is undecipherable. D: 17.5cm/6.9in and H: 6cm/2.5in. The original owners name is stippled in the cavetto as was the custom of the period.

Unusual and rare early brown glazed Qing Moon Bottle circa 18th century, most likely from the Cau Ma shipwreck- there are small mineral adhesions on the surface indicating that this item was either submerged or buried (please note this may be cleaned off). It is in perfect condition with “paraffin patina”and uncommon “garlic head”. H: 20.6cm/8in and W:13.5cm/5.3in.

Unusual oval copper box with incised patterns depicting Dutch trading and historical scenes and classic Chinese “dragons chasing a flaming pearl”. This is circa 17th/18th century. The hinge and lock are later 19th century Chinese additions. Very good condition- no dents or scratches, there is a bit missing on the locking mechanism but still works- noted in last enlargement.
