Good strand of quartz crystal beads (and a few carnelians) excavated from the Tak Burial site near. Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. These can be reliable dated to least 14th/16th centuries due to known and datable ceramics that were found in the same strata, but having said these can be much older as stone beads and have been traded in the region for at least 2000 years. Eighteen bead strand of quartz crystal. These were excavated from the Tak Hilltop Burial Site in along the Thai Burmese border, and can be dated at least to the 14th century due to the ceramics found in the same strata. I am however of the opinion these are much earlier probably at least 1500 years old or more as similar pieces are found in the Neolithic/Bronze Age Lopburi Sites. These are strung on an expandable elastic string with an interior circumference of 17cm/6.8in...

Fine and rare bronze age (circa 1st BCE to 4th CE) averturine zoomorphic “elephant” bead, from Burma- most likely Pyu culture (Sri Ksetra?), although similar artifacts have been excavated at concurrent Lopburi sites in Thailand as well as Samon sites in Burma. . There is one lateral crack along the torso. Please note scale in enlargements is metric.
