Quirky bronze pole end depicting a bull or ox’s head. This piece was sourced in Chengdu, Sichuan and seems to have a non Han aesthetic to it, so this was probably from either the Ba-Shu cultures which existed in the area, circa the Spring Autumn period or the Dian Culture which was centered in Yunnan but whose empire spread a far as to near present day Chengdu itself...

The stepped lotus finial on the lid suggests a Buddhist connection as it resembles the top of a Chinese pagoda. Perhaps this was an offering vessel or a kind of “soul jar”...

Good Shufu glazed shallow porcelain bowl from the Yuan Dynasty with unusual floral scalloped rim. There is a small firing crack on the rim and surface interior. This has impressed lotus interior design with feint characters inside the petals. D: 15.5cm/ 6.2in and H: 4.2cm/1.8in. Note: enlargement 6# portrays the color of the glaze most accurately; also the bowl is taller in real life as my photo software tends to truncate things a bit. D: 14.1cm/5.5in and H: 6cm/2.4in.
