Han green glazed censer with little bear legs. Much of the lead glaze has turned white with a some silver patina. There is some minor glaze loss and one of the legs has been repaired (examine enlargements). Han ”hill jars” come in this general style but are smaller and have much thicker walls, I have seen similar this type in unglazed pottery, which makes this style quite rare, D: 24cm/9.5in and H: 16cm/6.2

A collection of 3 green glazed “kiln wasters” from an unknown Burmese kiln, I acquired these on recent trip to Thailand- the dealer, who I might add is extremely knowledgeable on Southeast Asian ceramics, said they were found in Burma and not from the Tak Hilltop Burial site, where all the Burmese ceramics I have seen have come from. Warped and damaged- what you see is what you get quite decorative as a set. I would date these 14th to 16th centuries...

Eighteen bead strand of quartz crystal. These were excavated from the Tak Hilltop Burial Site in along the Thai Burmese border, and can be dated at least to the 14th century due to the ceramics found in the same strata. I am however of the opinion these are much earlier probably at least 1500 years old or more as similar pieces are found in the Neolithic/Bronze Age Lopburi Sites. These are strung on an expandable elastic string with an interior circumference of 17cm/6.8in...

Wonderful pottery image of a “foreigner” from the Tang Dynasty. He has a powerful life like face, with deep set eyes, a beak like nose and intense expression. He is in a semi seated position and is most likely a soldier because of the leather “armored” trousers. No damage (that I can find) and all original. H: 25cm/9.9in.

Exceptionally rare Jingdezhen porcelaneous cream colored glaze Ding type bowl with lightly incised floral pattern and shape more reminiscent of the Northern Hebei Kiln rather than the Jiangxi Kiln, so one can see the effort to emulate the Ding style is more then coincidental. This is relatively recent classification for this type of bowl, probably within the last 10 or 15 years this has been recognized as distinct from Qingbai. There is one chip on the rim noted in enlargements...
