Eclectic trio of Sino/Tibetan wood phurbus, from the Songpan region, Sichuan China. This area is a stronghold of the indigenous Tibetan Bon religion so these may be artifacts from them. These date circa pre World War 2 to early 20th century and although the pigment is flaking off the carvings are in good condition except for some minor damage to the head in the first phurbu). Lengths are noted in enlargements.

Rare 3 paneled sleeping rug ”Khaden” from Tibet. This rug is constructed with a cotton warp and undyed wool weft. The pile is unusually supple and soft for a Tibetan rug and the orange and red dyes are probably aniline while the red field appears to be organic madder dye. Most Tibetan carpets are woven in one single piece but the “tsuk-truk” carpet is made in sections on a smaller portable “trikja” loom, which along with the abrash typical of nomadic lifestyle...

Small bottle vase with scholar and mountain scene- porcelains from the end of Ming to the beginning of the Qing Dynasties, (1620-1683 CE) are very rare and expensive, so this is a good opportunity for collectors to acquire a piece from this period at an affordable price. The mouth rim has been ground down and has some chips. Please note that this is more graceful looking in real life than the images indicate as my photo editing software seems to truncate things a bit...

Good Qing/Ming Dynasty stone ritual axe blade carved with a tiger’s face on the surface. This is not jade but a softer stone mostly likely dyed serpentine. This piece emulates an ancient style i.e., Shang or Zhou period but is antique guaranteed to be at least Qing Dynasty or possibly Ming- a good example of old hand done carving techniques. L: 15.5cm/4.9in and W: 5.9cm/2.3in. Free shipping via Hong Kong Registered Airmail.

Exceptionally fine and sophisticated collection of three polished stone axes. These were acquired in Northern Thailand and aside from that I have no further information. This could be anywhere from 4000 to 2000 years old. The stones have a jade like hardness and cannot be scratched with a steel blade. The cutting edges are still amazing sharp with only minute chips. Scale in enlargements.

Very rare early Tang Dynasty bronze vase. There is one repair noted in enlargement 5# where the previous owner had knocked an 8mm hole on the side, he kept the original chip and I simply glued it back in and covered the fracture with a bit of original bronze filings. This is covered in typical azurite verdigris- beneath the bronze is quite stable and thick so this might be able to be either manually or chemically or cleaned. H: 26.5cm/10.5in and D: 12cm/4.8in...

Quirky and eclectic collection of 35 small repousse copper plaques or tokens. These were collected in Dali, Yunnan, China in the late 1980s. No two are exactly alike and seem to be influenced by Tantric Buddhism in that the endless knot, parasol, lotus throne, and temple banner motifs are represented in this lot as well as more traditional Chinese symbols such as bats and butterflies. In the last image I have shown a Qilin the only image in this group that has a hallmark...

Stunning bronze sword handles from the Dian Kingdom. Judging from the heavy triangular pommels and spikes near the blade, these were obviously designed for close quarter combat that would look right at home in a fight scene out of Game of Thrones.
