Ensemble of four Ming sancai glazed chickens used as ancestral offerings. The large green one has had its head broken and glued back on, otherwise all are in good condition. Heights are between 11cm and 6cm.

Republic or a little later, black and red lacquered “Dou” offering stem bowl (usually fruit) for an ancestral altar table, with gilt garden and scholar’s theme. This from Guangdong and made for a Chaozhou family, aka Teo Chew, aka Chiu Chow. W: 21cm/8.2in and H: 13cm/5.1 in. There is some warpage, noted in enlargements but if just turn it the right way you won’t notice.

Nice circa 18t/19th century high fired terra cotta Akshobhya Buddha in bhumiparsa mudra and holding a vajra in his lap with traces of original blue, white and gold pigments. This piece appears to have been excavated and the head has been reattached. H: 11cm/4.2in and W: 7.5cm/3in.

There are two repairs: appears to have been cut in half and then glued back together and there is one on repair at the top of the roof façade- all noted in last enlargements. Good Shiwan censer with beautiful and subtle white flambé moon white glaze circa late 19th or early 20th century - there is one hairline on the rim noted in enlargements. D: 15cm/5.8in and H: 9cm/3.5i

Fine Ming Dynasty “sancai” pottery bed, in pristine condition, with subtle but discernable paraffin patina, consistent with an “of the period” piece. This has simple classic lines emblematic of Ming furniture. There are 4 holes in the floor of the bed originally intended to support a cloth canopy.
