Good Ming blue and white porcelain bowl with images of boatmen on a lake. Good condition- no cracks or chips. D: 13.4cm/5.6in and H: 5.1cm/2in.

Good early 20 the century Miao wedding blanket from Antai area, Guangxi Zhuang, China. The base is made from all handspun cotton with silk and cotton warp embroidered geometrical floral pattern and swastika meander at lower border, the entire piece is framed in a handspun indigo border (possibly original). There is one hole on the cotton border and minor fading in the center, seems to show up more in the photo than it does in real life...

Lovely small meiping from Northern China, circa 1000CE- possibly Liao.. I have repaired it with epoxy and 23k gold leaf (wabi sabi kintsugi). This is a high fired gray stoneware dipped in a white slip and then fired with translucent overglaze. Condition as is, attractive wood stand included. :11.8cm/4.7cm and D: 7.2cm/2.9in.

Colorful hand woven beaded shoulder cloth from the Batak people, Sumatra. This piece is quiet lively and complicated with gold treads, and large “Rasta” colored diamond patterned warp embroidered bands. The “Dame Madi Hita” is Batak language and is embroidered on both sides of the center which refers to a blessing bestowed by the giver to the recipient...

Good Ming Dynasty blue and white porcelain bowl with boatmen on a lake shore, clear drawing and consistent cobalt blue color. There are a couple of hairlines, noted in enlargements as well as frits caused by bubbles under the glaze on the rim. D: 13.6cm/5.3in and H: 5.2cm/2in.

Old rattan/bamboo splitting knife used in basket making. The blade still carries a sharp edge and is still quite serviceable. L: 65cm/25.5 (blade is 18.5cm/7.5in). Good condition, the blade has some surface rust but is till sound and solid.

Pair of teak wood carvings from an abbot’s chair in a Lanna Thai Buddhist Temple. 50 years old or more, possibly late Rattanakosin period. In the center of each piece is a Buddha image- one standing and one sitting. Very decorative. Both mounted on a black steel stands with felt bottoms. H: 21cm/8.2in.

Lovely two handled pottery jar from the Northern China circa (2200 BCE – 1600 BCE) in near perfect condition with just a couple of minor chips on one handle. H: 12.9cm/5.1in and W: 11.8cm/4.7in.

Chinese Neolithic high fired, well potted jar with side lugs. Very good condition with original pigment and no repair- just some small chips on the mouthrim- please examine enlargements. Majiayao culture circa 3000BCE. D: 12cm/4.8in and H: 12cm/4.8in

Republic or a little later, black and red lacquered “Dou” offering stem bowl (usually fruit) for an ancestral altar table, with gilt garden and scholar’s theme. This from Guangdong and made for a Chaozhou family, aka Teo Chew, aka Chiu Chow. W: 21cm/8.2in and H: 13cm/5.1 in. There is some warpage, noted in enlargements but if just turn it the right way you won’t notice.

Very fine lacquer “siri” box from the Karen ethnic group in Northern Thailand. This has thick application of black lacquer and a fine naturally aged patina- circa 50 to 60 years old. There are two inner trays and is in good condition- there is one old repair at the bottom that may be noted in the last enlargement. H: 10.5cm4.1in and D: 9cm/3.5in.

Good small early circa 14th/15th century porcelain jar, with abstract floral scroll pattern, from Vietnam. There is a surface frit noted in enlargements. D: 8.9cm/3.5in and H: 8cm/3.1in.

Subtle nephrite “pebble” jade stone with original russet skin highlights, from Xinjiang. It has been polished on one side to achieve symmetry but other then that this is the original natural shape. This has a silver ring sp it may be hung on a chain. Untreated Hetian/Khotan jade is quite difficult to come across these days. Free shipping via Hong Kong Registered Airmail. This was fired in Guangdong Province and locally this type is referred to as a “gunpowder” jar although, I don’t know if this was it what it was really used for. Included is a decent wood lid. Charming votive folk embroidery, from the Saurashtra area of Gujarat, made by the Kanbi farmers caste, circa 50/60 years old. The two ply field is woven from all hand spun rough cotton thread; hand dyed silk thread and small glass mirrors. Ganesh is flanked by two female consorts and his “vehicle” of mice beneath him. These are brought out during religious and auspicious festivals, he traditionally has been viewed as the remover obstacles. Excellent condition. W: 54cm/21.1in and H: 56cm/22in...

Good Joseon Dynasty, 19th century stoneware cup/bowl with high footrim and pale greenish gray glaze and gray stoneware , this is a simple regional folk ware but has a pleasing almost celadon feel to it that needs to be held to be appreciated. There is some kiln grit in the cavetto as well as three minor hairline stress cracks. H: 8.7cm/3.5in and D: 13.1cm//5.2in.
