Strand of Khmer glass beads circa 11th to 12th century. Generically classed as Indo Pacific Trade Beads, were probably not actually made in Cambodia but were traded to them. These are the only complete strand I have found in this translucent color, possibly they were trying to emulate carnelian. L: 60cm/24.6in

Unusual lacquered line marker used by either masons or carpenters from Yunnan, China along the Lao border. Carved in the shape of a mythical Qiling beast, the powder (which appears to be a mixture of graphite and coal dust) holder is made from a bamboo section. There is small piece broken off the hexagonal chrysanthemum spool but is in over all good condition for an antique, still functioning artisan’s tool circa. The reservoir and Qiling have been glued back togther. 19th CE...

Fine and rare off white nephrite jade “curtain weight”. The Tang attribution is very conservative as this shape of jade has been recorded back as far as the Warring States Period (475BCE- 221BCE). Since there is no carving on it I have given it a later dating. This piece is very evenly cut at sharp angles and is polished on all sides. The condition is quite good with only a few tiny calcified “flea bites” in the stone...

Quirky pendant with two holes most like used as a fastener. I don’t know what the stone is, it is not jade or agate (a little too soft). Probably quite ancient but I will guarantee it to be over100 years old. There is a Chinese character on the bottom but so far it has been undecipherable. L: 4cm/1.5in and W: 3cm/1.2in

Interesting wood carving of a tiger carrying a woman in its jaws. This relates to an ancient Burmese legend about two brothers (messengers of King Anawathra- founder of Pagan) who fall in love with a young girl who rejects them and so they send a tiger to kill her. If any buyer is interested I can email more info on this. This is circa 19th century there some damage and to the figure of the woman. H: 35cm/13.8in.
