Neolithic/Bronze Age reddish clay, pottery jar from an unknown culture. I acquired this in a group of Chinese Neolithic pottery pieces but I can’t find any references to this being Chinese. I tend to think this from Thailand or some other Southeast Asian culture. Low fired with very good near invisible restoration. If you know what this is, drop me a line and let me know. Lovely small meiping from Northern China, circa 1000CE- possibly Liao.. I have repaired it with epoxy and 23k gold leaf (wabi sabi kintsugi). This is a high fired gray stoneware dipped in a white slip and then fired with translucent overglaze. Condition as is, attractive wood stand included. :11.8cm/4.7cm and D: 7.2cm/2.9in.

Two strands of Kushan/Bactrian of mixed stone (mostly carnelian) beads. I acquired these along with coins dating from 1st- 4th CE from the same site in North West Pakistan, so these can be dated no later than 1500 years old. There are a few agate and quartzite beads in the lot, some with traces of “etching”. The crescent shaped beads would have originally small ringed shaped ornaments that have been drilled and “knapped” to some extent to accommodate them being strung...

Lovely two handled pottery jar from the Northern China circa (2200 BCE – 1600 BCE) in near perfect condition with just a couple of minor chips on one handle. H: 12.9cm/5.1in and W: 11.8cm/4.7in.

Lovely Neolithic jar with a single lug from the Qijia or Siwa Cultures circa 1500BCE...

Good shell pendant made from a conch from the Ban Chiang or Lopburi Bronze Age Culture, Central Thailand circa 300BCE- 200CE- possibly much older. The spiral is one of most ancient of all designs, it is understandable why people would find this so attractive. D: 6cm/2.4in.Free shipping.

Quirky strands of bronze beads and Kushan charm in the shape of a Hindu Trishula (trident). I acquired these with a group of Kanishka coins that were found in the same place, circa 100CE. Large strand 25cm/9.8in and small strand 9.5cm/3.8in (the holes were too small to fit on the same cord as the larger one). Weight total: 40 grams. Beautiful image of Tang Dyansty noble woman or lady-in-waiting. Good condition no damage or repair. She is standing in relaxed natural pose, with a sweet face and complicated to coiled double chignon. H: 27cm/10.6in.
