Lovely two handled pottery jar from the Northern China circa (2200 BCE – 1600 BCE) in near perfect condition with just a couple of minor chips on one handle. H: 12.9cm/5.1in and W: 11.8cm/4.7in.

Good small early circa 14th/15th century porcelain jar, with abstract floral scroll pattern, from Vietnam. There is a surface frit noted in enlargements. D: 8.9cm/3.5in and H: 8cm/3.1in.

Very fine lacquer “siri” box from the Karen ethnic group in Northern Thailand. This has thick application of black lacquer and a fine naturally aged patina- circa 50 to 60 years old. There are two inner trays and is in good condition- there is one old repair at the bottom that may be noted in the last enlargement. H: 10.5cm4.1in and D: 9cm/3.5in.

Two strands of colorful and quirky glass bangle fragments drilled and reworked into beads. These are Persia, circa 6th CE - 7th CE which would make them late Sassanian Empire or early Islamic Era. Good circa early 20th CE pair of miniature Lanna Northern Thai Buddhas. The small one on left is amulet sized (H: 5.2cm/2in) with traces of gold and black lacquer and the larger one is a small votive image (H: 7.2cm/2.8in). I believe these to be cast in zinc. Good Joseon Dynasty, 19th century stoneware cup/bowl with high footrim and pale greenish gray glaze and gray stoneware , this is a simple regional folk ware but has a pleasing almost celadon feel to it that needs to be held to be appreciated. There is some kiln grit in the cavetto as well as three minor hairline stress cracks. H: 8.7cm/3.5in and D: 13.1cm//5.2in.

Large pale green glazed plate with incised decoration, most likely from the Thantwe kiln near present day Rangoon, Burma. Excavated from the Tak Burial site near, Mae Sot along the Thai/Burmese border. This can be reliably dated to least 14th/16th centuries due to other known and datable ceramics from China and Thailand that were found in the same strata...

Subtle nephrite “pebble” jade stone with original russet skin highlights, from Xinjiang. It has been polished on one side to achieve symmetry but other then that this is the original natural shape. Lovely Jin Dynasty circa 1115-1234CE, from a northern kiln, jar with near tea dust colored soy brown glaze, excellent original condition, heavily potted with two lugs. Please note tow subtle russet splashes in last enlargement. D: 10.5cm/4.1in and H: 8.1cm/3.2in.

Old rattan/bamboo splitting knife used in basket making. The blade still carries a sharp edge and is still quite serviceable. L: 65cm/25.5 (blade is 18.5cm/7.5in). Good condition, the blade has some surface rust but is till sound and solid.

Simply elegant wood panel depicting a bird perched on a rock beneath plum blossom in the background there are mountains and trees. The carving is in perfect condition with traces of original blue pigment- please note the delicacy in which the bird’s legs were carved as well as the bare trees beneath the mountains and bracken ferns at the bottom of the foothill (if you use your imagination they look like high rise apartments).
