Good shell pendant made from a conch from the Ban Chiang or Lopburi Bronze Age Culture, Central Thailand circa 300BCE- 200CE- possibly much older. The spiral is one of most ancient of all designs, it is understandable why people would find this so attractive. D: 6cm/2.4in.Free shipping.

Very rare Warring States jar with ribbed pattern. I’ve seen these in publications, but this is the first one I have seen in person. There is one chip on the mouthrim, as can be seen in enlargements, but otherwise in excellent condition. Very sharply carved with decorated lugs. H: 13cm/5.1in and D: 16cm/6.2in.

Two strands of Kushan/Bactrian of mixed stone (mostly carnelian) beads. I acquired these along with coins dating from 1st- 4th CE from the same site in North West Pakistan, so these can be dated no later than 1500 years old. There are a few agate and quartzite beads in the lot, some with traces of “etching”. The crescent shaped beads would have originally small ringed shaped ornaments that have been drilled and “knapped” to some extent to accommodate them being strung...

Four shades of Pyu glass beads excavated near the ancient Pyu city of Sri Kstera, (modern day Pyay), Burma, circa 200CE- 1100CE. Old nephrite chord fastener, this shape and style are usually associated with horse tack and bridles. This archaic style has been found in the Tang and Liao periods. L: 2.7cm/1.1in, W: 2.1cm/o.8in and 1cm/0.4in thick. 12 grams.

Good dark soy brown glazed ovoid jar Tang Dynasty from a northern kiln, nice size- H: 12.5cm/5in and D: 16.5cm6.5in. Some kiln flaws i.e., bubble pops and minor chip on side- please examine enlargements.

Rubbing taken from a Han Dynasty tomb vault wall depicting an elegant royal mounted entourage being greeted by courtiers. Excellent detail, horizontally mounted as a scroll with textured silk border. Good Tang Dynasty gray clay brick/tile depicting “Atlas” type, Yakshi figure seated on a lotus blossom. I was in Taxila, (cradle of Gandharan Civilization) and saw a similar figure. This illustrates the Greco/Roman influence in Tang art. The lotus shows indicates an obvious Buddhist connection. The left side of the face is molded a bit obscure, but no damage. An unusual piece, in that it is smaller than the other ones I have had- ergo cheaper shipping...

Neolithic/Bronze Age reddish clay, pottery jar from an unknown culture. I acquired this in a group of Chinese Neolithic pottery pieces but I can’t find any references to this being Chinese. I tend to think this from Thailand or some other Southeast Asian culture. Low fired with very good near invisible restoration. If you know what this is, drop me a line and let me know.
