Very fine semi antique blanket from Insana, West Timor, Indonesia. This is woven from coarse handspun cotton using all natural dyes, the birds are called ”manu fui” in Timorese and represent wild jungle fowl, a symbol of virility. Provenance from the Edward Gerber estate, a prolific California collector into the 1970’s. This piece is in pristine condition. L: 172cm/84.5in (without fringe) and W: 80cm/31.5in.

Very rare resist dyed men’s semba shoulder clothe from Ende, Flores Island, Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia. Woven from rich all natural dyes and handspun cotton thread, this has a calm and well balanced pattern and dates pre 1940. There is some damage in the lower right hand corner which can you see in perspective in the first image and also blown up in enlargements. L: 206cm/81in (without fringe) and W: 112cm/44in.

Classic Longquan kiln Ming three legged censure with excellent thick heavy glaze and incised abstract floral pattern. This piece has been professionally fitted with silver on two sections on the rim where there were two chips. The guy who did the silver work on this was in his eighties when this was done and has since retired so there is no one left in Hong Kong who can do this kind of repair anymore. Beautiful nephrite “belt” loop at least Qing Dynasty possibly earlier. This can be repurposed into a lovely pendant. Included is a faux leather cord with a clasp that you can crimp on to one side to custom fit the length. Rare nephrite jade arc shaped ceremonial jade with “dragon” heads at each end Neolithic era circa 4000 years old. In excellent condition (very tiny “flea bite” size chips that may be observed under magnification and to be expected. This piece has been reworked by machine (most likely to polish out larger chips)on the edge and surface, but can guarantee that all the piercings and 95% of the outline of the piece is original. Fine and rare Chinese rug woven around Baotou, Inner Mongolia, circa early 20th century, depicting ducks and lotus- symbolizes peace, love and commitment in a relationship. This piece has a very happy feel about it and measures W: 68cm/26.8in and L: 137cm/54in. The head ends have been redone and stabilized while the selvedge appears original.
